Our Story
Created in 2010
Engroove was born from a carpenter’s wood shop on the Olympic Peninsula. While building and designing his home, he struggled to find a sliding door system suitable to his preferred aesthetic and quietness. The solution--build his own, which he did with reclaimed wood as track and upcycled rollerblade wheels. Shortly thereafter, he was designing custom systems for clients, and collaborating with an architect on design. The idea was simple, and the result is over a hundred systems installed with 100% satisfaction, and ten years of tested functionality and durability.

The Designer
Over the past 25 years, Aaron has refined his craft and created innovative approaches to building through his practice of carpentry and design. He has worked with many clients and architects in creating beautiful structures and hardware. He prides himself on attention to detail and meeting design teams expectations. Aaron takes a hands-on approach with every opportunity and has a commitment to professionalism.
The Carpenter
As a contractor and craftsman, Dylan enjoys the hands-on process of co-creating and transforming spaces. Nearly a decade has passed since he got his hands on the first rendition of the Engroove sliding door system. He assisted Aaron through the early stages of product testing and multiple renditions of the system. Bringing his carpentry skills and passion for the craft to the table, he has installed numerous systems and continues to provide feedback for further development of the system.
The Designer
Over the past 20 years, Aaron has refined his craft and created innovative approaches to building through his practice of carpentry and architecture. He has designed and built custom homes alongside dozens of customers who continue to refer him to others for a unique owner-builder experience. He prides himself on attention to detail and meeting the client’s expectations. Aaron has assisted numerous clients with importing the aesthetic intellect to help create the concept and all stages through to build. He takes the hands-on approach with every opportunity, and has a commitment to professionalism
